BAKER UNVEILS THE JACQUES GARCIA COLLECTION
IN SEPTEMBER 2 INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH

CHICAGO (September 2, 2004) - Baker unveiled The Jacques Garcia Collection at a gala, by invitation only evening affair in its Baker Paris Showroom on September 2, 2004. Attended by 750 guests from around the world, the event was hosted by Baker and internationally renowned designer and collector, Jacques Garcia, marking the official launching of The Jacques Garcia Collection into the international marketplace.

Catered by Paris-based, party planner extraordinaire, Potel et Chabot, no detail was left to chance. The Baker Showroom, located in the 18th century Hotel du Turenne, was artfully dressed in trademark Garcia style and set the stage for the exclusive designs. The Jacques Garcia Collection includes wood and upholstered furniture, a line of fabrics and decorative trims, a series of chandeliers, sconces, floor and table lighting, and a series of vases and jacquard throws.

The Jacques Garcia Collection will be available at Baker Knapp & Tubbs Showrooms, Baker Stores, and independent Baker dealers throughout the world beginning in October 2004.
