The Thomas Pheasant Collection Accessories Program

Grand Rapids, Michigan – Unveiled at the Spring 2002 International Home Furnishings Market, Thomas Pheasant has worked closely with Baker to create an accessories program of understated sophistication. Accentuating the refined furniture designs by The Thomas Pheasant Collection, the collection includes a series of mirrors, chandeliers, sconces, porcelain and wood lamps, bowls, urns, and accenting, shagreen-covered jewel boxes.

Chandeliers and Sconces
Handcrafted in Italy by a small family-owned shop passed on from generation to generation, this sophisticated assortment of exclusive lighting employs Old World Florentine techniques of hand-hammered repoussé, inset with antique mirrored glass, and decorated in handmade bronze designs, which is then finished in antique bronze. Each piece is worked through various stages of turning, modeling, beating, chiseling, and finishing by hand for a one-of-a-kind work of art. Each chandelier and sconce is fitted with an ivory chinette shade imported from Italy. All are equipped to accommodate a standard size light bulb, and is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) approved.

• Lantern Chandelier: The Lantern Chandelier has a unique open design and impressive size for visual impact. The open, hand-hammered frame surrounds four candlestick-style lights fitted with chinette shades. Small antique mirrored squares wrap around both the top and base of the chandelier, serving to pick up and refract surrounding light in Old World fashion. The Lantern Chandelier is offered in two sizes: 42-inches or 36-inches in overall height.

• Gothic Lantern Chandelier: Gothic-inspired, this lantern is fitted with six lights for maximum illumination. The top of the chinette shade is decorated with a handcrafted quatrefoil bronze design, and is suspended by a handlinked bronze chain.

• Venetian Chandelier: Suspended from the ceiling by four sleek bronze poles, the chandelier's centering bronze sphere base creates a unique focal point. Four smooth curved arms extend out from the sphere. Each arm holds four candlestick-style lights that are fitted with chinette shades

• Horizontal Venetian Sconce: Braced by a small bronze orb, the Horizontal Venetian Sconce has a single chinette shade that rests above two candlestick-style lights. Bronze knobs that carry through the antique mirror base secure the candlesticks.

• Vertical Venetian Sconce: The rectangular bronze wall plate is framed with antique glass mirrors to pick up and refract light. Slender curved bronze arms extend from the base and are fitted with two candlestick lamps set with chinette shades.

Lamps
Adding another dimension to the Thomas Pheasant Accessories line is a series of wood and porcelain lighting, and a sophisticated floor lamp crafted in lustrous bronze. The solid hardwood lamps have a carved base in rich stained finishes, and are fitted with ivory shantung shades.

The porcelain lamps have a turned base and are offered in four colors: ivory, leaf, lacquer, and espresso. The turned wood bases of the ivory, lacquer, and leaf versions are in a silver/gold mottled gesso finish for a time worn appeal. The espresso turned wood base is finished in a dark ebony stain. All lamps are equipped to accommodate standard size bulbs, and are Underwriters Laboratories (UL) approved.

• Dowel Lamp: A unique segmented dowel technique creates the wood base of the Dowel Lamp, giving the impression of woven leather. It is finished in a dark walnut stain and dusted with antique powder that settles into the segment separations to give it an aged look. The lamp features an antique bronze cap and base, and is fitted with antique gold hardware and a shantung shade. It is 29.9 inches in overall height.

• Urn Lamp: The solid hardwood base of this classic Greek design lamp is stained in Baker's deep Sable finish and set with a shantung shade. Its rich color is complemented by antique gold hardware. The lamp's overall height is 24.4 inches.

• Column Lamp: The sleek carved form of this hardwood lamp is an impressive 29.1 inches in height. It is stained in Baker's deep Sable finish and fitted with a shantung shade, and antique gold hardware.

• Balustrade Lamp: A baluster form finished in a yew wood stain for a light burled effect, this carved, dimensional lamp is 32.3 inches in overall height. The lamp has a shantung shade and is fitted with antique gold hardware.

• Grande Bulb Lamp: Standing at 33.8 inches high and offered in four colors: ivory, leaf, espresso, and lacquer, the Grande Bulb Lamp features a graceful swan neck that is suitable for any environment. The lamp has antique gold hardware and is fitted with an ivory shantung shade.

• China Jar Lamp: The gracious column form is set above a turned wood base and topped off with a hand-hammered antique bronze cap. The lamp has a shantung shade, antique gold hardware, and stands 31.9 inches in overall height.

• Vessel Lamp: A centering belt, adding a subtle visual element, breaks the classic simplicity of the Vessel Lamp's porcelain form. Inspired by an oriental water vessel, the lamp is fitted with antique gold hardware and a shantung shade. The overall height of the lamp is 29.1 inches.

• Twisted Column Floor Lamp: The Twisted Column Floor Lamp has a sleek, singular turned bronze base and stands an impressive 60 inches in overall height. The lamp has a simple chinette shade, and is fitted with antique bronze hardware.

Mirrors
A selection of mirrors offered in a complement of sizes and styles continue the impressive array of accessories that make up the The Thomas Pheasant Collection Accessories program.

• Castle Mirror: Thomas Pheasant's signature castle motif creates the frame of this exquisite architectural mirror. The glass is segmented and held into place by tiny bronze buttons. The mirror is 60 inches in length and 48 inches wide.

• Constellation Mirror: This antique gold, round convex mirror is an updated, Neoclassic form and an extraordinary example of engineering design. Shimmering disks in varying sizes from one inch to two inches in diameter are woven onto extending gold threads to create an illusionary starburst pattern. The mirror is 54 inches in diameter overall.

• Venetian Mirror: Imported from Italy, the Venetian Mirror combines a rectangular mirror and crowning sphere mirror for a unique presentation. The form is enhanced by antique mosaic tile mirror squares that outline the mirrors' clean lines, drawing the eye to its classic simplicity. The mirror is an impressive 66 inches high and spans 36 inches wide.

• Gilt Pier Mirror: A hand-applied, antique gilt complements the one-inch beveled glass edge of this unique floor mirror. The mirror stands 84 inches high by 36 inches wide.

Accent Pieces
Rounding out the collection is a series of porcelain urns and bowls, and a unique complement of shagreen covered jewel boxes.

• Pedestal Bowl: Classic, simple lines in a smooth cream glaze.

• China Bowls: Three bowls that nest for myriad applications and are sold separately. The bowls, offered in six-inch, 12-inch, and 18-inch sizes, are available in a ivory, leaf, or lacquer crackle glaze.

• Italian Urn: This oversized porcelain urn features a removable lid and is offered in a smooth cream glaze.

• Pedestal Urn: This oversized urn has sculpted lines and is offered in a smooth cream glaze.

• Pillow Box: This Asian-inspired rectangular pillow box of ivory shagreen has a singular locking keyhole that fits a small gilded key with ivory tassel. When opened, it exposes a hardwood interior finished in Baker's deep Sable stain.

• Sphere Boxes: These round jewel boxes come in two sizes and are covered in ivory-hued shagreen. The shagreen panels are sectioned by a geometric mahogany design finished in Sable. The rich Sable color is also used in the interior of the boxes.
